CSPH 5304: Redefining End of Life Care
This course is offered completely online. Check the Schedule Builder for semester dates.

This course is designed to assist students in providing meaningful, creative, and intentional end of life care and advocacy in both professional and personal care settings. Recognizing that death is universal, students will learn ways to redefine, redesign, and approach dying and death through evidence-informed, clinically applicable skills, communication techniques, and integrative care approaches. Patient testimonies, academic literature, and insight from hospice/palliative care professionals will be utilized to model empowered and engaged end of life care. Students will think and question deeply as they contemplate their own personhood and perspectives about death and dying, practice application of personal approaches for end of life care, and explore what it personally means to live well in dying.
