Bio
Dedicated to helping people find their own path to wellbeing, Amy enjoys connecting with research participants and community partners as part of the Integrative Health and Wellbeing Research Program. As a Research Project Manager, Amy brings to the team her lived experience as a person with chronic back pain as well as her former role as a research community partner, which allows for a unique perspective among her fellow researchers and facilitates her work with community members and partners on the Partners4Pain Program.
Before joining the research team, Amy worked in fitness and wellbeing since 2007, including over 10 years at the YMCA of the North, where she continues to teach group exercise classes. Her teaching passions and expertise include working with older adults, personal training, yoga and Pilates. She’s a huge advocate for including the arts in personal wellbeing and enjoys doing and experiencing a wide variety of art forms.
