Bio
Linda Hanson is an Assistant Research Professor and Assistant Director in the Integrative Health and Wellbeing Research Program. Her research interests include mixed-methods and comparative effectiveness studies of non-pharmacological interventions and community-based programs for prevalent and costly spinal disorders. Dr. Hanson has implemented and managed several multi-site, federally-funded randomized trials and other privately funded projects, including developing study protocols and manuals of operation, designing case report forms, managing study regulatory requirements and interacting with oversight bodies (IRBs, DSMBs, external audits, NIH, OCRA), training study personnel in project-specific operating procedures including good clinical practices (GCP), participant recruitment, screening and eligibility determination, data collection, adverse event monitoring and reporting, and study close-out. She also enjoys mentoring fellows in research methods and serving on several University committees. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, golfing, and storm chasing.
