Mara Melum, MPA

Mara Melum, the President of the Minerva Leadership Institute, is an executive coach and strategy consultant who inspires leaders, organizations, and communities to accelerate their journeys toward achieving their visions. Mara works with a range of health-related organizations, assisting them in learning from other industries and countries, particularly in the areas of leadership development, continuous quality improvement, and innovation.

Mara attended Princeton University in its first year of coeducation and studied in Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs. She received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, with a Health specialty, from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. Mara is the author of five books on leadership and was twice honored with the “Outstanding Faculty Award” for her graduate courses on health leadership and strategy at the University of Minnesota. She has studied and worked with Deepak Chopra’s organizations and looks forward to serving as a Senior Fellow with the Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing at the University of Minnesota.
