Taking Ownership of Tibetan Culture in Academia

The "Taking Ownership of Tibetan Culture in Academia" Community Outreach event on January 11, 2023 was a collaboration between the Tibetan Healing Initiative (THI) Program at the UMN Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing (CSH) and Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota (TAFM).
In these photos, Dr. Tenzin Namdul presents to a room full of students and their families at the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota in St. Paul.
The recent event for local Tibetan students was to empower Tibetan youths to take ownership of their culture and apply them in their lives and academic endeavors, as well as to diversify CSH student population. The CSH and THI team are working with Tibetan community leaders and members to identify areas that are important for both Tibetans and the wider Minnesotan community to facilitate human health and flourishing.
