Enhancing Personal Wellbeing & Resilience Series

In this four-part virtual series, you will learn practical evidence-based approaches to help build your personal resilience and enhance your skills and confidence in bringing more wellbeing into your daily life, at work and at home.

Mental Health and Nutrition Workshops

This three-part series of 75-minute online workshops includes information about three pillars of nutritional approaches to mental health: diet, micronutrients, and the microbiome. You will learn how micronutrients and the microbiome impact common conditions like Depression, Anxiety and ADHD, and dietary strategies commonly used to support mental and cognitive health.

This series is offered by the University of Minnesota Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing and the Integrative Psychiatry & Wellness Program.

Nourishment in Every Season: Online Cooking and Nutrition Workshops

We all need to eat, and most of us want to eat food that nourishes us, tastes delicious, and doesn’t break the bank. That means getting (back) into the kitchen and preparing our own meals, and ideally feeling organized, prepared, and capable of doing so with the time and resources we have. So how do we plan, procure, and prepare foods in a way that supports that? These online workshops will introduce simple, quick, seasonal, and affordable meals that work in balance with the many other things happening in our lives.

Nourishment to Lighten Stress and Support Metabolic Health

While we are not able to control many of the sources of stress in our world, we can practice and develop skills to regulate the nervous system and the body’s response to stress. Food, along with the environments in which we source and eat it, plays a major role in our response to stress and our resilience. Through this series, we will explore themes related to mental health, metabolic health (how your body processes nutrients and food), food environments, and self-compassion. We will also work with seasonal flavors and foods to align our cooking and eating with the transition from winter to spring.

Online Therapeutic Yoga Series

The therapeutic yoga series offers a unique approach to yoga and is designed specifically for individuals seeking relief from specific patterns of dis-ease in both mind and body. Unlike regular group yoga classes at studios or gyms, this series focuses on creating ease and comfort by targeting specific areas of the body or patterns of the mind.

Self-Leadership: Strengthening Leadership Effectiveness from the Inside Out

This four-part series of 90-minute online workshops is designed for those in either informal or formal leadership roles or aspiring leaders. Learn practical and proven approaches for building your resilience and self-leadership competencies, from the inside out. Each interactive session will include informative presentations, experiential exercises, personal reflections, and easy-to-apply tips designed to increase your skills and confidence as you support and lead others.
