Alexander Ruiz Shimada

Hi there! My name is Alexander Ruiz and I'm currently a Junior at the University of Minnesota studying Graphic Design. I have a passion for creating designs that catch people's attention and make their eyes light up with joy. It's always been a dream of mine to become a skilled designer and share my work with the world.

I come from a diverse background which has shaped my perspectives on the world and my design style. My mother and brother are both from Brazil, and my dad was born in Peru. Additionally, I have family in Japan and am half-Japanese myself. Growing up in such a multicultural environment has instilled in me a deep appreciation for different cultures and their unique aesthetics.

What I love most about graphic design is the ability to create something that resonates with people on a personal level. There's nothing more satisfying than hearing that someone loves my design and how it has impacted them. It's these moments that motivate me to keep designing and perfecting my craft.

In the future, I hope to become the best designer I can be and make a positive impact through my work. Whether it's designing for a brand or creating a piece of art that resonates with someone, I want to share my passion and creativity with the world.
