Bio

Carole Anne Broad, M.S.W. was a senior academic advisor at the University of Minnesota, College of Education and Human Development for 19 years. She retired in 2021 from her advising role but continues to teach for the Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing. Carole Anne is the co-creator of CSPH 3211, Living on Purpose, and has taught the course for many years. Her inspiration for developing such a course for undergraduates stems from her years of advising students and understanding how important it is to reflect on meaning and purpose while going through the college years and life, in general. She has also taught career planning courses for the University and was part of the team that created the Center for Academic Planning and Exploration (CAPE) at the University of Minnesota.
