Bio
Dr. Kennedy works with researchers and community partners to develop and implement multi-faceted community engagement strategies and qualitative approaches for greater collaboration, co-learning and representation of community voices throughout the research process. As a member of the Integrative Health & Wellbeing Research Program, Dr. Kennedy serves as a co-investigator on NIH funded grants. He is involved in fostering community-researcher relationships, development of recruitment materials and strategy, community-engaged researcher training and development, screening, intervention delivery, data collection, qualitative analysis, and dissemination. Dr. Kennedy is also a faculty fellow in the Integrative Health Research Fellowship Program. Prior to his work with the research team, Dr. Kennedy led the design, piloting, and evaluation of the Center’s school-based mindfulness program for teachers. In his spare time, Dr. Kennedy enjoys traveling with his family, playing guitar, and volunteering. He is a Fulbright alum and has lived and worked in India, China, and South Africa.
